eeeIs it too late to get a CEVO refund?
because this seems really pointless if that's the case.
Nope, file a ticket at http://cevo.com/support before you play your first match, and we'll be happy to refund your payment.
Thanks,
CEVO|Pipher

CHEERISSI meant to ask/look on the forums... but is the price the same for players in open and main for this season?
Yes, $15 per player in both divisions.
KevinIsPwnCEVOPipherxoxolaurenwhen is the last day to pay up for cevo? The rosters will be open until the end of the 7th week of the season, so individuals can pay up at any point between now and then.
So you can't have an unpaid backup on the roster in case of dire emergency? That's kinda unfortunate.
Yes you can, I should have been more clear. You wont be able to join a roster after the 7th week of the season, but players already on the roster will be able to pay up at absolutely any time during the event. Sorry for the confusion.
*I'll edit the original reply to make sure everything is clear.
xoxolaurenwhen is the last day to pay up for cevo?
The rosters will be open until the end of the 7th week of the season, so individuals can join rosters until this time. Unpaid players already on team rosters will be able to pay up at any time right up until the end of the event.
Teams will be allowed to pay up throughout the next few weeks, but any team that isn't "ready" when the Week 1 schedules are released on Friday (Feb 21st), wont be guaranteed a full schedule. We'll do our best to schedule teams who register late makeup matches, but they wont be guaranteed.
eXtineHave the results of the WhiteList Poll been publicly posted somewhere? I'm not registered for a team so I couldn't take a look at the results as they came in.
They results haven't been posted anywhere public yet, but we're going to close the polls at midnight tonight and then release our official whitelist with the results of the polls tomorrow.
mso if we pay up now what happens
You would be in consideration for a moveup to the Main division if you were to pay up before the end of the night and would be ready in time to be scheduled a week 1 match on Friday AM.
Mr_Owlthere's gonna be a pretty crazy skill differential in cevo-m this season no matter who they get
Agreed, but this is to be expected as for the most part this is our first real season (with > 15 teams). As we move into future seasons with more teams/skill divisions and switch to a moveup system based on actual performance in the previous CEVO season, the skill gap should balance itself out over time.
It's important to note that matchups each week will be based on team's current record/standing, so hopefully if you're at the bottom of the division you'll be getting matched up with teams closer to your skill level. Although in a small division like Main, there are obviously going to be a few blow-outs.
ShadowIs there a link to the current votes, or will we have absolutely no idea until the poll closes?
As long as you are logged in to the website and a member of a current roster that's "ready", you're able to see the results by hovering your mouse over the choices.
That is exactly what's supposed to happen. As long as you get the successfully installed message, you are good to go. When it's time for your match (up to 30 minutes prior), you'll be able to check-in on the CEVO website. As soon as you check-in, the Paladin will launch automatically and you'll be able to chat with your opponents in real time in the Paladin match lobby as they check-in. You keep the Paladin browser window open for the duration of your match, and then close it when you're finished.
Let me know if you have any other questions about this process...
KAMOHypothetically, could a team play if they don't RUP in time for Week 1 scheduling? Figured it might be relevant to clarify this. Yes, obviously you'd lose "value" because you're paying the same and playing less, but wondering what the rules are on that.
Yes, and we'll do our best to schedule teams in this situation a makeup match for Week 1 (if available), but obviously teams completing registration after the Week 1 schedules are released won't be guaranteed a complete schedule despite our best efforts.
GeknaiirsynchroTeams do have until Wednesday to be paid up, just make sure you have 6 players with SteamIDs on your roster by tonight everyone.I thought we had to get paid by tonight. Do you happen to have the source where you got that from?
Team registration ends tonight at midnight, but player registration remains open until the final roster lock of the season, which happens at the end of week 7. This means that players will be able to join teams and pay at any point from now until the final roster lock. We'll give everyone a few weeks notice when the final season 4 roster lock gets closer so that teams can finalize their rosters before the Playoffs.
Teams that are registered but aren't "ready" yet, will have a few more days to finish registration. The week 1 regular season schedules are going to be released on the morning of the 20th and any team that isn't "ready" will not be scheduled. If teams decide to complete registration after the 20th, we'll do our best to schedule them makeup matches for any matches they have missed, but we wont be able to guarantee them a full schedule.
Let me know if you guys have any questions about this and I'll do my best to keep an eye on this thread.
Thanks,
CEVO|Pipher
sky_Will it be possible to allow registration during the last couple days of preseason (up until 21st)? A lot of players are still lft or making teams and it wouldn't harm the schedule to allow it.
We'll allow teams who are partially registered the ability to complete their rosters right up until the first few days of the regular season, the 17th is just the last day to create a new team.
If you're on the fence about playing this season, make sure you at least create your team before the 17th and then you'll buy yourselves a few more days to get "ready" if you decide to play.
synchroWhen, if ever, do rosters lock?
Rosters will remain open throughout the season until the permanent roster lock (end of week 7). After the permanent roster lock, there will be no roster changes allowed for any reason. As we get closer to the final roster lock, we'll make a news post to give everyone a few weeks notice.
The only stipulation throughout the season is that you cannot play in the same round in more than one match.
synchroAJSo my team was lucky enough to play the first cevo match with stats..
http://cevo.com/event/tf2-6v6/match/17748/
Do they update during the game?
Also, having the columns be sortable would be nice.
They update on the website during the match at the end of each round. The column sorting will be live later this afternoon.
Alderhow many people are projected to participate this season?
and will there ever be a f2p league?
As of this moment there are 15 completely "ready" teams and 76 teams registered in total. There are still 6 days remaining in the registration period, so it's unclear at this point how many teams are going to play.
eXtineStats are off to a good start. Demo uploads/downloads still otw?
Demo uploads are coming soon, should hopefully be in place before the start of the regular season.
AJEdit: Also what about configs/whitelist/rules? I haven't seen any news on this..
Updated rules, configs, and whitelists coming no later than Sunday!
