#12 that map was one of the most painful experiences of my hl career, and I've also had to play haunt.

Been experimenting with 3-6 ban picks per team
THE BEAM. IT IS BEAUTIFUL I LOVE YOU ATROCITY
Get familiar with 6v6 and Highlander format by playing lobbies to start off then newbie mixes. Once you find yourself doing well in lobbies and newbie mixes try moving on to #tf2.mix.na and #tf2.mix.nahl (for highlander) (both found through IRC). The next step would be to try and find a team, UGC and etf2l you will most likely have a lot more success with, ESEA is alot more competitive. Then you should record your games with prec in order for you to review your demo yourself or with a more experienced mentor. Look for a guide on IRC/atf2.org although its pretty straight forward and checkout the ugc forums when you want to start looking for a 6s/highlander team.
There will always be people that judge others based off their voice/age on the internet but just ignore them and keep playing.
MGE and DM servers can help improve your aim and movement which are definitely important in competitive, although gamesense is much more important.
Good luck.
kylei had to turn off the marker that shows who you're healing in dx8 for it to not do that
Does this fix the issue of the temp medibeam by removing it all together or does this fix the issue by giving you the beam all the time, not really sure what you're saying sorry.
I've had this issue for a while, when i start healing someone i see the beam for a second or two, then it disappears. Is there a way to fix this? I'm on dx8 but if switching to dx9 is the only fix ill probably just leave it cause my fps goes from 300 to 40 with dx9. My viewmodel fov is at 100 for medigun so thats not the issue.
Thanks
I'm using the lower blank version and I'd love to know how to change the opacity of my health and ammo, it gets a bit hard to see sometimes.
Will do, thanks. I'll post results when I can, do you think I should contact my ISP in the mean time to look into the wiring or wait until I check with ethernet. I believe my ISP charges something stupid like $100 just to look at it.

I can try and find an Ethernet cable but the issue with that is the closest cable outlet is in the room next to mine around the corner, and I'm not sure if I have a cable that long, but even If I do, It's hard to predict when the internet is going to shit itself. I guess when I start having issues I can try and plug in the Ethernet cable It's just that I don't think others are going to enjoy a large cable through a hallway and into someone else's room for a long period of time.
I've had a fairly ongoing issue for a while now with my Internet and was hoping someone here would have some ideas. Some days my internet is fine, I'll ping average and on a great day I can watch a video or download a song without reaching a 500 ping in mumble and tf2. On and off I have days when my ping will be 20-30+ above average to servers and I will get ping spikes that last from a few seconds, to a few minutes, spiking anywhere between 120ish and 1000. Last night I experienced this again, yet no one was on the internet or downloading anything, only one person watching TV.
I have the "Ultimate" package and one of the best routers/modems my provider offers http://www.rogers.com/web/link/hispeedBrowseFlowDefaultPlans#
I have a wireless connection, although I did move my router closer to me which helped for a little bit. I've tried changing the "Channel" my internet is on a few times, not sure if this helps. Only other cause I could think of would be the wiring in my house. If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions they'd be very much appreciated and If there's more information I can provide to help let me know.
Sorry if I made this in the wrong sub-forum.
Thanks
Would you guys have a mumble server for all of these pugs, this sounds really awesome and something I'd definitely get into.
Have separate pug/irc channels for NA/EU
add a command to start a team/group with a pw, then a command to join that team/group so you can add up as a team to ultiduo/bball? Only suggesting that since a picking system when you only have 1 person to pick seems rather pointless. Maybe later on you can make the team function for 6s/hl, so people could also use the site to find scrims and know whos playing on the other team beforehand.
Would the 6s and hl pickup games be first come first serve like tf2lobby or would their be a picking/random teams system. If it was first come first serve the skill level of the pugs would be extremely varied and I'm not sure how well that would turn out.
Just some suggestions/ideas, sounds really great and looking forward to seeing more.
Pretty sure this is the same issue i've been having whenever i try to use my mac. It heats up to an extremely high temp and will burn your skin when you try to move it. I got like 20-40 fps at the most. I'll definitely have to try this fix if my pc breaks down for a month again.
Thanks
