Hello Everyone, we are trying this tournament again in the NA Region after the EU version did not get enough signups to start, unfortunately. The rest of this post is a copy/paste from my previous one with some slight edits:
The intention of these cups is to introduce newer Players to the 6s Format and to play Competitive in a friendly and constructive atmosphere. Whilst these tournaments are orientated towards newer players, more experienced players are welcome to signup as it would be nice to place experienced players with newer players as team leaders or coaches. Here's a rundown of all the key details:
Date: 8th February
Time: Signups start at 17:00 EST. Tournament starts at 18:30.
Region: North America (Chicago Server)
Ruleset: Normal FACEIT Rules
FACEIT is offering a Prize Pool of 5,000 FP. Which is distributed like so:
1st: 2,500
2nd: 1,500
3rd: 1,000
The points should be allocated to the players on Monday.
This tournament will be located in the NA Region. However, if there is sufficient demand I would be willing to work alongside someone to create EU tournament alongside the NA one. We do have a Discord for the Events, however, if you do not have to use it during the games and you can use the Server Voice Chat. I would recommend that you do join the Discord as any additional information will be communicated there first. The tournament will not be streamed on any official Channels, however, that does not stop others from streaming it.
As I said earlier, it would be nice to have more experienced players act as mentors for their team and it would be nice for those players to post in this forum just as an indicator of how many experienced players we have. But if we have tonnes and tonnes of professional Players it would be an unpleasant experience for the newer Players if they keep getting killed and criticised for it. The same thing applied to premade teams. You can take part with groups of friends, that's totally fine. But in my opinion, premade teams would just cause this tournament to be horribly unbalanced and unfun to play. If you think otherwise or have any questions then please discuss it in this forum. This whole tournament is open for scrutiny as I am not very experienced in running tournaments.
Thank you for your time and support!

Hello Everyone! Yesterday Shounic posted a slightly clickbait title about my Reddit Post introducing the Icebreaker Weekly Cup on FACEIT and I thought it would be a good idea to elaborate and explain what it is all about.

Time: Check-In starts at 5pm GMT. Tournament starts at 6pm.
Region: Europe

I'm just going to point this out here, but unfortunately, there will be no prizes in the tournament. There is a possibility of that far down the line but I don't want to make promises I cannot keep.
For this first tournament, it will be located in Europe. However, if there is sufficient demand I would be willing to work alongside someone to create a NA tournament alongside the EU one. Hey Guys, I am the one running the tournament. If you have any questions about it either ask here, on the Reddit post or the Discord linked in the Post. Huge thanks to Shounic for the shout out!
