jnkiand you are right it doesnt even have a box version, the fuck
anyway a tray(OEM) version is this thing that they ship in to the stores for cheaper in a big ass tray and just give you in a smaller, clear plastic tray
Show Content
it either has no warranty or only the store warranty instead of the manufacturer 5 years warranty

a BOX version is that except its in a sealed box with a sticker and a piece of paper you never read, a proper warranty and a cooler

guess it dont matter anyway because apparently 5700x doesnt have a box version

You can buy them by the trays?
This is like me finding out americans can drink fizzy drinks by the litre

jnkiRahmedunless you buy the tray or the OEM version you get a stock cooler with the 5700x anyway

Not sure what the tray or OEM means, but pcpartpicker says no cooler

ArieNot sure what's wrong with your motherboard, but if it's broken and still under warranty, RMA.

With some minor effort, your memory might just run at 3600Mhz (CL16 should be fine), Ryzens will like that. Staying on this motherboard and dropping in a 5800X3D will give you the highest gaming performance offered on this socket.
It will depend on the games you play and what kind of FPS you're looking for whether to upgrade the GPU as well.

After I RMA the motherboard, I want to look at getting the ryzen 5700x with 2x16gb 3600 ram sticks
Would using my ryzen 3600 stock cooler be ok or is it better to just buy a cpu cooler?

BaconBlitzThe gap between 240 and 360 refresh rate is negligible. A decent 360hz monitor costs about as much as super good 240hz monitor
A Good Example.

Another inexpensive sleeper upgrade you can get is going a generation up to a 5600x. I also agree, RAM upgrades are pretty important, as already said, ryzen likes super fast ram. A little pricey for ram, but this would be ideal.

ur gpu is a beast btw, use that shit into the ground, upgrade when it dies

edit: thats ddr5 ram, so disregard that unless u plan on upgrading ur mobo as well to support it (Which i'd recommend)

The link to the ram sticks doesn't work btw. Also can I get any ddr4 ram that is atleast 3000 mhz and around cl15 or is it more sensitive on what ram I get?

maraudeRyou would get more value out of your CPU by RMAing your mobo and just upgrading RAM. Ryzen really likes fast RAM and your 5700XT is probably fine unless you really want to upgrade.

I do want to upgrade my ram but they dont sell these exact ram sticks anymore, and im not sure how well different ddr4 sticks with different timings and speed will work. I don't want to go do any bios stuff, preferably just plug in and play

I'm deciding on whether to fix my current mobo with RMA or just get a new one, aswell as upgrading certain parts in my PC. Not looking for 1440p+ gaming, just want very high 1080p gaming maybe at 240hz/360hz.

Usb = 64gb (56gb shown on file explorer) exFat (only option to format besides NTFS)
This is probably your issue, the filesystem almost definitely has to be FAT32, and you'll want to use an MBR not GPT. Most people recommend a 16GB or smaller drive, but 64 will probably be fine and you could always try making the partition smaller than 16GB if it still doesn't work. Google should be able to walk you through how to get it formatted correctly. It's also worth trying a USB 2.0 drive if you're using a USB 3 one.RahmedMobo = B450-A pro max
If worse comes to worst and I find it's bricked, is there a recommended better motherboard I can buy?
You'll never need to buy a new motherboard in the case of a corrupted bios, in the absolute worst case you can use an external SPI programmer to flash a working bios firmware onto the chip, it's a quick and easy process if you have the tools available or know someone who does. If not, any repair shop will also be able to do it for you.

I don't trust brum repair shops, just had a phone call with msi and they suggested to post my mobo to their tech place in poland. Paying for the shipment and repair would be about £25, might be costly but seems reasonable to me

Tomorrow I will strip my motherboard until only the power is connected (have been trying to update with cpu/gpu/ram still in) and phone up msi help.

If worse comes to worst and I find it's bricked, is there a recommended better motherboard I can buy?

#9 msi bios/HDD help in Hardware

Quick update: been following this guide and it turns out, for my Ryzen 5 3600 cpu I need an older bios file than the one I downloaded (the one on my usb is for newer cpu's ig). I still get a solid light with the correct bios file now
