janedoejnki_aka_tungsten??janedoeim p sure if u use a skin from like fpsbanana it will give the low texture
i saw ma3la using a skin and he has the r_lod 1 quality
im p sure he just wants blocky GL and he wants that cause hes used to it/he believes he hits more pipes with it (placebo)
1)skins are not relevant in this case; 2)low texture has nothing to do with model being low/blocky3)??
JDawgHas anyone ever had a trip like this from weed (or any drug). Feel free to share.
no, sorry, my post is completely irrelevant
also: dont do drugs, kids

you cant have the blocky GL anymore, in the gun mettle update they increased the amount of polygons on the lowest LOD so the skins they released now dont look like absolute shit, but the festive GL is another story, its LOD remains unchanged, so if you want a blocky GL consider buying festive one

How do i fix this texture for the fence? (open in other tab and look at the furthest fence)
lol, im a retard, i completely misunderstood, fml
MaclinExcuse my ignorance, but how do you exec your autoexec?
some ancient technique called "launch the game"
although if youve changed a few values in autoexec.cfg while in the game you can exec it manually in the console simply by pasting: exec autoexec

EmmaWatsonIt looks like most people (including me) get more frames from using comanglia's config rather than -default
flame ...BUT I have a CRAZY idea that works for me and will probably be worth trying for people with higher end cards and processors (im on a 970 and an oc'ed i7 4770k @4ghz)...
...If your fps goes up, great, if it doesn't oh well. I went from 60-70 in pubs to I kid you not 200+ without dips just by maxing everything...
...Idk, my game runs like cinematic butter. I'm in no way telling you this is going to work, or that your fps config is bad, I'm simply suggesting you try it since it 100% worked for me.
JermI was looking into this same exact thing with 640x360, 960x540, and 1024x576 a few days ago. I'm running Intel integrated graphics, so custom res' will probably be more flexible for you.
Basically, you'll only be able to run fullscreen resolutions that your monitor recognizes, but even then there's no guarantee that it'll display correctly. Look into your monitor's 'available modes', and you'll have to either work with whatever's in there or add your res to it & restart your pc.
you see man, ive been trying to get my res @ 720x450, because thats 1/2 of my native res: 1440x900, but the 640 for width and 480 for height seems to be the minimal values for any monitor(unless the 90's CRT capable of running 320x200 lying in ones basement, collecting dust), it just wont recognize the resolution and either go dark and return to previous(what happened to me) or simply deny it from changing/break the monitor
Powerstrip, ive used this shit to get myself 900x600 in tf2 fullscreen, just dont go with height lower than 480, JUST DONT
edit: proof of concept: 960x600, it was actually 960 and not 900, oh well, still gave me the 16:10 fov, when compared to 4:3 800x600
trashso until it's figured out what breaks comanglia's config, default is actually the way to go, I guess
when ive been experimenting for a couple of hours with dozens of cvars benchmarking that dustbowl demo i found out that r_rootlod 0 and r_lod -1
gave me 2-4 more fps than r_rootlod 2 and r_lod 2 dont know if its placebo or not, but ive been using r_rootlod 0 and r_lod -1 since then, have a shot
e: forgot to mention that both r_rootlod 0 and r_lod -1 are game default btw
can anybody do a benchmark of this using integrated graphics? ill be 1 month off pc so i cant test this atm
torrittheres absolutely nothing in my ACE folder in appdata
i also experience this
