#67 keyboard thread in Hardware

well it didn't take me long to pick up another keyboard - the Cruel World CW60 LE is a keyboard that I've been eyeballing for a few years and a friend happened to be selling one at a price that is hard to refuse.

Currently built with Cherry MX Blacks on a Polycarbonate Plate with GMK White-on-Black.

It is a fucking fingerprint magnet.

  • Cherry MX Browns lubed with 3203, filmed with tx films, and springs swapped to 60g tx medium springs
  • Polycarbonate Plate
  • O-Ring mounted
  • CRP Tulip and GMK Lavender Keycaps

I believe this was the first unlimited group buy for a TGR keyboard, and when it ran initially I was unimpressed by the prototype units that were sent around to streamers/reviewers. I got my hands on one 2 years later and it is awesome. I'm prone to selling/trading a keyboard after no more than 2 months but I think this one is going to be sticking around for a long time.

#19 Why use P-REC over integrated demo support? in TF2 General Discussion
mastercomsI think hyphens don't crash anymore, but yeah I get that about the names being friendly. What are the differences with the bookmarks.txt document vs. the in-game one?

Killstreak bloat is a big one, especially if you pub or play mvm, because it literally logs every kill of a killstreak in its own line.

i don't have either to compare atm because i'm on a clean install but I'm sure others can share specifically what the differences are

#16 Why use P-REC over integrated demo support? in TF2 General Discussion
mastercomsWhat would p-rec bookmark have over the demo support bookmark feature?

Nothing at all. I know that you can bind a key to ds_mark and a chat bind but it's just not the same.

To be honest though P-REC's file naming system and boomarks.txt document is much more user friendly. This may have been fixed but trying to play demos with hyphens (-) in the name would crash my game for years so I just went back to p-rec

iron165 by smith+rune, built with cherry ergo clears on an aluminum plate. I built this the other day and I'm going back and forth on whether i like it or not, but it's certainly pretty:
